Frost Bake + Co. is a cottage bakery located in Santa Rosa, California.

Frost was created in 2009 through the love of baking, creating and sharing those creations with friends and family.

Who is Frost?

Hi, I’m Teri! I have an eclectic background and haven't always been a baker; but I have always found joy in the kitchen, and loved to create and share those creations with my family.

I went back to school in 2011 and earned my AA in Culinary Arts, concentrating in baking and pastry. I’ve been working in production baking ever since.

At the beginning of 2021, I had to make a choice for my family and I left my full-time bakery job to be with my children, making it possible for me to bake from home. I am so happy to be able to bring Frost to the public, and I cannot wait to meet you.

Our Ingredients

Frost Bake + Co. sources local ingredients whenever possible. A majority of our ingredients are mostly organic and sourced from Central Milling, which is based in Petaluma, CA.

All of the flour we use is organic, and some is freshly milled in our home bakery. We use our sourdough starter/culture–a combination of whole rye flour and wheat flours–in a majority of our products.

Why sourdough?

You may be asking why sourdough. What makes it so special?

  • Sourdough is made from a combination of flour and water, and is set to ferment. Using wild yeast in the air, the sourdough culture can now be used in lieu of commercial yeast.

  • Sourdough is a gut-friendly food. Because of the naturally occurring bacteria and wild yeast, sourdough products are easier on your gut and digestion.

  • Sourdough is a slow food. Most products take a minimum of 18 hours of proofing and some can take days. The extra proofing helps develop the “sour” taste.

Whether you’re new to sourdough or an expert, we’re so glad you’re here and look forward to serving you some of our delicious products!

Important Things to Know

Make your sourdough last

When receiving your bread, it will be in a paper bag. This is the best place to keep a loaf. You can also freeze the loaf in a freezer bag for later use.
